Overseas Volunteer Projects

Taking part on an OrphFund project is a memorable and life changing experience. Volunteers gets the unique opportunity to spend 4-5 weeks working on all stages of a project, from hands on building work, to running a football match, to teaching, to taking street children for a meal, to registering and interviewing hundreds of orphaned and abandoned children.

It’s a chance to see how millions of people live a life without the comforts and luxuries we are so familiar with. You will need to be able to live amongst a group, within a remote community where basic food, showers and toilets will test your spirit! We are looking for people with an enthusiasm and passion to help. It suits all people from all walks of life, in the past we've had volunteers as young as 17 and as old as 82!

Each of our volunteers are required to raise approximately $3000 (AUS$) before they go. This money is used entirely for the construction and set up stage of the project you will take part in. We do not spend your hard raised funds covering admin costs or flights. All volunteer flights must be met out of your own pocket.

Orphfund provides help and support during the fundraising phase and also advice on all other issues leading up to the project. We also expect volunteers to show a long term commitment in helping our work on their return from their placement to ensure programs we begin are successful in the future.
