Sponsoring a child with OrphFund is the most direct way of helping give a child a new chance. With 100% of every donation we receive being diirected to our Children's Villages you can be sure your valuable donation will make an enormous difference to the children we are helping.

The children we support within our projects are real children, with real stories, in real need.

Since 2006 we have witnessed amazing developments in the fortunes of hundreds of children who arrive at our programs with absolutely nothing; no family, no support, no love. Our child sponsors really change everything and allow us to be there for the children as they grow into young adults.

What does it cost?

For less than a dollar a day you can support a child and provide them with everything they need to live a good healthy life. The minimum amount we ask for is $25 (UK13) per month, but we do ask people to consider sparing $30 (UK16) so we can cover any medical needs your child may require from time to time. 

How do I set up a sponsorship?

It will only take a few minutes to begin supporting a child with us. You will need to set up an ongoing donation through one of the methods below.

IMPORTANT - Once this has been done you will need to send a confirmation email to orphfund@gmail.com Only when we receive this email from you can we send out your child profile.

Our preferred method is through a bank transfer/bankers standing order. (This has no administrative cost) To do this you will need to either pop into your local bank or log into your netbanking and set up a regular payment to - See our bank details here. 

IMPORTANT - If possible please add your name as a reference so we can clearly see your donation on our statements.

We also have options to support using credit card through secure online donation sites. These do incur a small administrative fee. Please hit the appropriate link below to support this way.

How your money is spent

100% of your monthly donation gets sent direct to the centre where your child stays and provides everything needed to help their daily lives.

- 3 nutritional meals a day

- school fees, equipment and uniforms

- helps pay our care workers wages

- toiletries

- health care ($30 per month option)

Sponsoring a child has a huge impact on our work and gives us the knowledge we will be there for these children long into the future. Without the kindness of our supporters our projects would struggle to continue.

What will I receive?

As a Child Sponsor, we will send you a child profile (electronically to save costs) and send you updates on how our program is running. If you wish to send photos, letters or gifts we encourage this and know that it means a lot to all of the children who receive these gestures. Perhaps you might like to even visit your child one day!? 

Our sponsorship at OrphFund is designed to be an intimate way of helping a child living in poverty. Our Volunteer Sponsorship Co-ordinators will be working hard to ensure you feel part of their lives and their progress.

Can I choose a child?

We do not like the idea of advertising individual children for sponsorship as we feel this is not the fairest way to gain peoples support. We do however allow new sponsors to state any preferences that they may have. For example, you may like a child to grow up with a child of your own. In order to select an age group, gender or project location (Sierra Leone, Kenya and Uganda) please advise us in your confirmation email and we will aim to match a child for you.
