Our 1Day scholarship program is based in the dusty outpost of Narok, a gateway to the Masai Mara National Park.
Our efforts here help children living in remote scattered villages where the nomadic Masai culture mean no large settlements exist. This results in a project that reaches far and wide, spanning some 140km's benefiting numerous small communities. Through an outreach research program which monitored hundreds of children's living conditions we highlighted 41 cases that had no support network to help them into school. Most beneficiaries of this project have lost both parents, or have a single parent living with an illness or disability and had been forced to drop out of school. For some this program meant they could go to school for the very first time.
We've helped the children with equipment, uniforms and covered their fees for their forthcoming years schooling until they complete school. Back →
